Book chic: Mendo Amsterdam

This bookstore meets fashion library is a treat to browse through. A Mecca for your most coveted style coffee table books and a perfect spot for gift buying if clogs and caramel stroopwafels aren’t what you’re looking for. Mendo houses special collections of extra-large books like Muhammad Ali (GOAT), Vivienne Westwood, David LaChapelle (Artists & Prostitutes), Valentino, Inez van Lamsweerde, Helmut Newton (SUMO) and more.

The store’s walls aren’t bricks, but thousands of black Mendo styled books. You’ll walk out feeling inspired to write your own fancy read and have it sit on this shop’s pretty, minimalistic stacks.
