Elie Saab’s pret-a-porter urban perfectionist
Paris fashion week is an experience unto itself, each show brings with it it’s own special brand of glamour—Elie Saab is one of my personal favourites. The collection was sexy-smart at the start with a sparkly, glamorous finish: peplum power skirt suits, black and cream ensembles that commanded catwalk attention. Then he gave us what we look forward to every season, gorgeous gowns: glitter-y green and gold dresses that came with all of their finest slinky bells and whistles. Sexy silhouettes included dramatic high slits and décolletage-boosting necklines, the ode to the Jessica Rabbit hourglass shape. All of this accessorized with shoe-booties, heeled sandals, pointed-toe Mary Janes, and confident-looking clutches and satchels.
