Runways and retail have been churning out photography spattered pieces (read: Rag & Bone and my favourite Aussie swimwear line We Are Handsome). I’ve recently penned a piece for New York-based fashion and art web magazine Line a Journal on Juma. The designers were inspired by their childhood in Kenya and the time they spent in Lake Nakuru (see: fluorescent pink flamingos that migrate there), the Maasai Mara National Reserve with its breathtaking orange sunsets and the coastal city of Mombasa and its stunning Indian Ocean backdrop. To underline the beauty of these scenic spots, Juma used vibrant prints in the latest collection. Stay tuned for my profile on Line a Journal soon!
