Channeling: Dick Tracy

My winter style has flip flopped between Russian chic (read: Zhivago) and Parisian street: my chartreuse yellow French Connection has been making its rounds this season, so much so that locals have even pointed it out. For example: outside the Starbucks the other day, a rather (ahem) disheveled regular on the corner called out to me, “Hey, you girl, you always wear that yellow coat! I like that coat, man!” Now, this gent wasn’t what you would call stylish, but he recognized style when he saw it. And there’s something to be said for that. Glad I’m building a fan base.

And it’s true, from my coffee shop cadre to my office compadres, this chartreuse jacket has been a croud pleaser! This yellow number will be with me for a while, that is, until I replace it with another primary staple. I personally think I’m channeling Dick Tracy here. What say you cartoon nerds? Am I dead on?
