Melissa x Alexandre Herchcovitch: Joy

These black and white brogues by Melissa and Alexandre Herchcovitch are made out of the brand’s patented scented plastic and made this fashion sleuth do a little Charleston when she left the cash register: they were a steal at just $38! I felt just like the lady in that Ikea Winter Sale commercial! Yeah, you know the one. “Start the car!” Ha.

Brazilian fashion designer Alexandre Herchcovitch has been collaborating with the Melissa brand for more than 10 years and always seems to dream up wonderful creations for them. Even better, these shoes come in gold, red, green and all black.

I can’t wait to shimmy all over the city in these fancy little numbers!

Along with Herchcovitch, the Melissa brand continues to collaborate with big fashion names and has recently worked with the Swarovski Elements platform, created by Swarovski in the heart of fashion shows at Porte de Versailles last September. Unveiled there was the Melissa Ultragirl by J.Maskrey. This legendary skin jewelery designer has created work for Bjork, Dita Von Teese and several other red carpet stunners. In addition, the Melissa brand has also worked with Italian architect Gaetano Pesce, upcycling furniture duo the Campana Brothers and fashion matriarch Vivienne Westwood.
