Genetic Denim: Canada Gets Love from L.A.

After such cold weather here in Toronto and the latest snowstorm covering New York (a bad omen for Mercedes-Benz fashion week, kicking off this Thursday), it was refreshing to say the least when I received Genetic Denim‘s S/S 2010 lookbook in the mail this morning. Rays of sunshine practically poured out from the envelope (okay, I’m exaggerating).

Denim alert: Ali Fatourechi‘s jeanswear label, Genetic Denim is coming to Canada (!!!) Check your local Holt’s, Aritzia and TNT for details on the trendy Los Angeles label that has celebrities like Halle Berry, Kate Hudson, and Anne Hathaway in an absolute frenzy over samples. Christmas has come twice (seriously, what’s with all of this snow?!) And if wearing  Genetic Denim‘s new collection here suddenly makes me five inches taller, pin-thin and instead has me stuck in a sunny oasis with a cute male model–I’ll take six of everything.
